Place de Angels

| |

It took thirty minutes to create an experience that will never be forgotten. This Saturday I was privileged to be part of the “France-South Africa Seasons 2012” final extravaganza which took place outside City Hall in Durban’s art precinct.  A culmination of over 100 projects, exhibitions, films and interactive sessions which have been taking place in the country since June this year, the Place de Angels capped off the successful campaign with the most incredible aerial display by the French Studios de Cirque. Beginning with a single feather floating across the night sky the display erupted as angels moved from the various high rise buildings in the city centre and over a ton of white feathers rained down upon thousands of audience members below all dancing and enjoying the spectacle.  If you missed it, you certainly missed out!
